Center Drive Sludge Scraper

Center-driven mud scraper is a kind of sludge scraping and discharging equipment for round sewage sedimentation tank. It consists of driving device, slewing bearing, main shaft, scraping arm, scraping plate, thick set grating, flow stabilizing cylinder, electric control box and so on.

When working, the driving device drives the main shaft to rotate, and the scraping arm on the main shaft drives the scraper to scrape the sludge from the bottom of the sedimentation tank to the center sludge collection tank, and then the sludge will be discharged out of the tank through the center sludge discharge pipe.

Applications

  • Primary sedimentation tank: Primary sedimentation tank is used to remove suspended solids and organic matter in sewage, the center-driven scraper can scrape the sludge deposited at the bottom of the tank and discharge it to improve the sedimentation efficiency of the primary sedimentation tank.
  • Second sedimentation tank: the second sedimentation tank is used to remove biological flocs in sewage, the center-driven scraper can scrape the activated sludge deposited at the bottom of the tank to provide good conditions for subsequent biochemical treatment.
  • Thickener: Thickener is used to thicken the diluted activated sludge into thick sludge, the center-driven scraper can scrape the sludge settled in the bottom of the pool to improve the thickening efficiency of the thickener.

Selection of center drive sludge scraper

The selection of center-driven mud scraper should be determined according to the diameter of the sedimentation tank, water depth, sludge volume and other factors. Generally speaking, the smaller the diameter of the sedimentation tank, the shallower the depth of water, the smaller the amount of sludge, the size of the selected scraper will be smaller.

Installation of center-driven mud scraper

The installation of center-driven mud scraper should be carried out in strict accordance with the instructions to ensure the quality of installation. The following matters should be noted during installation:

  • The sedimentation tank should be horizontal and stable, and the bottom of the tank should be flat
  • The driving device should be installed in the center of the pool and firmly fixed
  • The scraper arm and scraper should be installed correctly with even clearance
  • The center mud discharge pipe should be firmly connected with the mud collection tank at the bottom of the pool

Center-driven mud scraper should be regularly maintained to ensure its normal operation. Maintenance content includes:

  • Regularly check the driving device, slewing bearing, spindle and other parts, and timely replace worn or damaged parts
  • Regularly clean the scraper arm and scraper to maintain the efficiency of scraping mud
  • Regularly checking the center mud discharge pipe to prevent clogging
